Head coach Thomas Frank told reporters that he arrived late to Brentford's first-ever Premier League match two seasons ago.
The Danish manager is a fan favourite with the London outfit, having brought them up into the Premier League and helped them maintain their position as a top flight club.
Since taking over from Dean Smith in 2018, Frank has seen Brentford go from strength to strength.
I had to pick up my parents from the airport," Frank told The Athletic's new podcast special, Access All Areas: Brentford, when asked about their first Premier League game.
They were a bit delayed and we were running a little bit late. I was thinking "f****** hell, arriving late to the first Premier League game to pick up my f****** parents".
Sorry for my language," he added.
I went into the backroom and all the media in the world was there lining up and then we went out and beat Arsenal, huh? Easy."
